bricking in the smoke

Another long weekend, another chance to acheive some major progress. During the Labour Day weekend, we made a great start to the mudbricking and also managed to line the entire ceiling with boards.
Sunday evening proved to be fairly unrelaxing, due to a bushfire which began to the north of us and was making its way south.
We evacuated via the back road and after a couple of hours, the wind change came through and pushed the fire east. It was not until morning that we could get back to check on the shed to see how close it had come. We were very lucky indeed. My thoughts go to those who lost homes and thanks to the CFA and DSE people who worked so hard.
